Incoming NBD

Hello,

I had a squier classic vibe 50’s P that I just loved. I let it go to fund a brand new AVRI II 54 precision bass from Fender! Can’t wait until it shows up! I chose the “vintage blonde” color. Hopefully it isn’t too heavy, if it is I will exchange it for another.


Going to put a set of Labella IMA super polished on it, should growl like nothin else

Just checked website of my local store and see they have two of the blonde ones in stock … yikes! shouldn’t have looked Something about watching Sean Hurley playing a bass makes it look irresistible.

Ok, got the bass in. Looks like mine was old stock from 2023. Funny, the neck stamp is my birthday, September 26th. Mine weighed in at something like 8.7 pounds, got it down below 8.5 with a set of Gotoh Res O Lites that are a drop in fit. I sanded the bridge saddles and installed some of the labella IMA super polished rounds. It sounds and feels great! HUGE neck on this guy.

Won’t lie, the case is kind of cheap feeling.

I think she’s a keeper! Gonna gig it for 4 hours on saturday.

A very happy NBD to me.

Oh I definitely will. This thing rules, especially with a pic. Truth be told, I was going to upgrade the pickup with a Duncan Antiquity but this sounds really good!
