Indian Rape Examinations

The idea that the victim is presumptively the prime suspect in a rape case is common to all traditional societies, and has only lost favor in liberal societies within the last half century or less.
Dr Cheese I hope your not soaking this stuff up......there is an ocean of it. Civilisation? What the flock does that word mean anymore......
Education in regard to practices abroad, I would suspect.
This is beyond horrid, by the way. Imagine walking into a doctor's office as a child, traumatized from having just been assaulted by some sick bastard, then having a "professional" stick his fingers in your junk and determine that you deserved what you got. :scowl:

It does not. It sounds like a sexist practice that can and has happened all over the world at one time or another.
I mean that was basically where I was drawing the comparison. Being "acclimated to intercourse" or whatever is placing blame, either full or partial, on the woman.
That's horrible, but I'm reminded of other areas of the world that are worse, as in the women are beaten/tortured/executed for the crime of being raped.

Sorry I need reminding, we are talking about people here no? You know, the same species...but in a different place.....or are they just more deserving than most, you sup up your own poison, drink up now.
I had my response all typed out, but it was a little edgy. I'll just say you should Google female circumcision if you want to go to the next level of disgust. Women are treated miserably in many cultures around the world. Don't look for big changes any time soon. It's predominantly religion-driven and maintained, and you can't criticize someone's superstition.
