On a serious note, it saddens me that in the world we live in, human beings could be treated this way. It's even more mind-boggling that it's something so delicate and beautiful as a woman. We are so animalistic sometimes...

Dr Cheese is correct, it's bad news, more bad news, in 'soaking it up' I meant to say 'don't spend too much time looking for it, it's not good for ya', I live in the south west of England, anyways, I'll be sure to consider my post's more carefully in future and give it a miss when drunk as a skunk

On a serious note, it saddens me that in the world we live in, human beings could be treated this way. It's even more mind-boggling that it's something so delicate and beautiful as a woman. We are so animalistic sometimes...

delicacy and beauty aside, yes we certainly can treat others horridly and women do get their unfair share. this story is unfortunately typical.

i feel really lucky to work in the fair trade industry cause it gives me a chance to do something positive and non-political. while fair trade helps impoverished people of both genders, most of the beneficiaries are women because they get treated so poorly in so many places. i have heard absolutely awful stories.

if anyone feels like doing something positive, consider finding a fair trade store or site. and its not hard to find a group that specifically helps women in desperate situations.

really am not sure if this what they mean when they say "the medical tests confirmed rape" i have never heard about any such practice here which involves judging over the victims character and "habitualness to sex" but then you mostly never hear about all the ugly truth. i am totally ashamed, its hard to believe that this is the same land where women were worshiped, respected by the men
