Inexpensive to mid-range 5 string bass to tune E to C

Just got back into practicing regularly after a 15 year hiatus. Thanks to all the posters here, I have gained invaluable information about gear. Just bought an Aguilar TH350 with an SL112. This summer I bought a Marcus Miller Jazzbass (actually, I find it a little hard to play.) I own a near 20 year old Zon Legacy Elite, and though I don't love the sound for the music I am currently into, and really hate it all around when the strings are dirty, I absolutely love the neck on that bass. A lot has changed in 15 years: for example double thumb, with which I am struggling because I learned to slap with my thumb down, ugh. But I am pretty good at it that way, so relearning with my thumb in the correct position is something I am not yet committed to. What I am somewhat committed to, however, is practicing Jazz impro. Just spent the day on the Janek Gwizdala major triads over minor chords lesson. So I've got it into my head now that I want a 5 string with the E to C tuning. I'm going to have to prove to myself that I am dedicated before I reward myself with a serious instrument. Meanwhile, I'd really like to buy an inexpensive to mid range 5 string I can tune that way. I prefer slightly wider string spacing. I am aiming to play only Jazz, Latin and Funk on it. I want low action and I need a decent slap sound, a good punchy mid sound for the latin stuff, and a clear sound for the impro. Any ideas? Many thanks. Love this board.

I picked up a MTD Kingston Z5 for way under 600.....they can be found for 700 easy. Really great bass for the $$ and LIGHT!! 19mm spacing and good tone....the maple neck I have is very punchy and bright for slap. Find one and play it!
