I voted black pearl. Personally, I like the high contrast against the white body and maple neck. Otherwise, everything is too white/bright.

Neither, I'm not a fan of blocks, I think the dots look better.

Don't use stickers. They'll wear down quite fast and it'll look incredibly cheap.

Me personally don't dislike pearl on maple.
Just for a impression how it will look, one of my VM squier's.

And yes, those are also stickers, underneath are the original black block inlays.
The pearl blocks give a cleaner and lighter look to this specific bass.
