Inlay Stickers Decals for Fretboards

I have one bass with real inlays and one with stickers and I can't tell the difference at all. You can't feel them and they look great IMO.

Sorry for the phone camera pics. I just thought that my Black ATK300
was kinda plain looking so I put these black block Jazz Bass stickers from Creative Cuts on it. A $8.50 upgrade.

One of my fretless basses has black side-dots. Hard to see on a dark stage. I ordered small white dots. Haven't arrived yet, but they are just what I was looking for.

Some of the one's I've seen are pretty cool. I might consider getting some for my Squier that I use as my back-up bass.

All I want on my fingerboards is strings ....

No dots, no graphics, no frets, no lines ....

Well, OK, sometimes lines can be useful for
tuning up, cuz I tune by closed notes, not
open-string notes. If the bridge features
adjustable intonation, line help with that,
too, but they do interrupt the beauty of a
nice slab of wood.

I bet that would look fantastic with a white pickguard to match the inlays.



On my nicer basses, no. The stickers don't do it for me. But right now I'm modding an SX and, as a finishing touch, I'm thinking of getting inlay stickers to match the pick guard (it has a LPB body and at the moment I'm torn between an abalone or a white pearl pickguard). I figured if I don't like how it looks, I can just remove the stickers.

Creative Cuts have the best, IMO.

They're fun. And they go on and off without leaving any sticker glue/goo on the fretboard.

The Sakura inlays are so pretty but I'm just about to start epoxying my fretless and delivery would take weeks to Ireland

Even real inlays are just there for looks and IMO they look great, so if you like inlays, why not. The cost is minimal, so if they don't work then you're not out of a lot of money and no harm done to the fretboard.

I've been eyeballing a set of those for my MIM Jazz, so I'll be ordering a set soon.

Correction, Just ordered 1 set of the AWP (aged white pearl) and 1 set of the WS (white silver) block inlay for Jazz bass.
Wasn't sure which would go best with the black and tort, at only $7.00 ea. we'll see.

I didn't leave mine on long enough to find out, but all reports I've read here on TB have said they last a good long time and wear from strings is not a problem.

I have them on my spector ns2a and they look very real. It really made the bass pop. I got them from the ebay guy creative cutz I believe. Nice people

I have two necks that I bought from Denny with the sticker inlays on them and I like 'em! They look great and I've always liked the look of block fret markers. I want to get some to put on more of my basses. Thanks for posting the link!
