I just got a set of block inlay decals for a Squier Jazz V. Trying to figure out best way to install to get them to look right in terms of centering them on the fretboard. Any suggestions or experience appreciated.

Installing block inlay decals - suggestions?

ok decals... thought you were gonna cut into your board!
Get some blue painters tape, use it as markers to get everything lined up before you put on your decals.

Good suggestion. Was looking for easy way to figure out where they should go without having to measure each one.
I was thinking - Maybe install the first and last marker carefully to get them centered as best you can, then lay the painters tape down, using them as a guide for the tape, then the tape will help with the rest.
That's a good suggestion. Have to account for neck being wider at bass end then tuner end. Was hoping to hear from someone had installed these decals and how they went about it.
I did this to my Squier P.
I used a pencil to dot the corners of the inlay after laying it in place & eyeballing it with the back of the decal still on. Not perfect, but you can't tell anything if off unless you're trying hard to find it. My band mates thought it was a different bass. It's since been converted to a 5.
Painters or masking tape is a good idea too.
