Double Bass Instructional video: advanced attention getting techniques

I decided to share some of my experience and wisdom with other bassists, so I made a bass instructional video demonstrating some of my favorite advanced techniques - long-lost secrets which were supposed to be in Simandl volume 7! I hope somebody takes it completely seriously and gets all angry.

I don't play DB or read the threads much, but I am insanely jealous at the sheer volume of techniques you guys have access to, and wondering if I can transfer any of these to a solid-body electric.

I will try a few and get back to you.

I'm pretty sure they'll all work on solid-body electric with some clever adaptation. However, I'm not sure they'll all be fully effective. If any are not, try a solid-body electric with at least two necks - that should do the trick.

Nice! I've been doing the Trophy Raise for the past several years whenever I play with "humble" sax players who bow and offer up their horns to the audience for applause when their names are announced. When it's my turn, down goes my head, and up goes the bass. The folks in the cheap seats eat it up.

The Trophy Raise works great when the audience is full of young people with healthy backs. Just looking at it can make senior citizens cringe in pain, though.
