Instrumental with lovely bassist

Let’s just say that about 10 years ago, Khruangbin forged a style that incorporated a variety of separate elements and got their sound out to the public(I became aware of them around 2017). As is often the case, when there is a fresh new trend, others come along and chase after it. But there has always been attractive female bassists.
Mark Speers will be spoken about in 20 years like people speak about Jeff Beck now. He has changed the direction of music. And Laura and Donald are great too.
Khruangbin showed up on my YouTube a few months ago, then Balthus just recently. I thought maybe they were the same band…. Wait…no? Kind of funny.
It makes you wonder, when are you copying a bit too much? All the blues bands, all the grunge bands, rappers, so it goes.

Not brand loyal to either. Double the opportunity to see a chill gig with a terrific vibe.
Let's say they emerged together like calculus that Newton and... the other guy invented.
Sounds like you were late to the party, then. I could never tell Gerry and the Pacemakers apart from Freddy and the Dreamers, The Searchers, or Billy J. Kramer.

This sounds like some psychedelic/trance music I remember hearing in the late 60s.
Good stuff nonetheless, but they didn’t make a genre out of it.

This is very boring in my opinion.
I guess I don't understand the appeal in the playing/writing/genre/talent level.
I look forward to the pendulum swing into the direction of musicianship and skillful songwriting.

Not sure how Messer Chups relevant here. I mean they are great, but there are plenty female players on surf/garage scene.
And as homage to 60s there are even some of female only bands like The Surfrajettes or legendary The 5.6.7.8's
Laura from Khruangbin is a lot better player than the girl from the Warning IMHO. Of course she doesn't hair flip as well so there's that.
I saw the Warning in concert here and honestly was not impressed, I wanted to like them. The bassist is the weakest player of the three. Of course that's my opinion and people that like that band are entitled to their opinion.
Since you find the K’s somehow lacking, which mystifies me as what they do and how they do it was fresh, and a unique blend of a vast array of musical genres when they emerged almost a decade ago, perhaps the intensity of the Hermanas Villarreal Velez would excite you more.
