That price on the Roscoe looks ridiculously low.

lol i responded to the other thread just as you deleted it. heh.

i've played the conk before at a coupla namm shows, sorta heavy (Even for a conklin) even though it's chambered. lane poor pickups rock though.

What were your impressions of it. How much do you think it weighed around?

there are a few folks that have owned that bass in the past active here on tb. i'm pretty sure mark beem used to own it. do a search on kot conklin, that shoudl work. those guys will know better than i do how much it weighs.

It says it was made for jake kot, I recognize him through his association with accugroove. I belive he is also a distributor IIRC. I beliebe I've seen him on tb.

The ebay ad says it weighs 13 lbs. could be fudging it a little though, who knows.

It's funny- I emailed a guitar store about a Roscoe SKB-3006 they had listen for sale at their website with no pics. They emailed the pics and price to me this morning, I told them I wasn't interested as it's a really old-school Roscoe neck-through which Keith almost never builds anymore, and it suddenly shows up on eBay

There was a neck-through Roscoe very similar to that one at GC Marietta a year or two back. In fact, that *might* be the same bass. Sounded wonderful, but weighed like 20 pounds. :^|
