Interesting GC error...

Just cruising the GC online used listings this morning and I ran across this "Squier." Of course when I called, it was no longer available. Either somebody got very, very lucky of they caught it and pulled it.

I bought a Squire P bass for $100 at a local shop(Not GC). I see them all the time on CL for that price. Affinity's are the cheaper ones.

Hard to see the headstock, but your right. I doesn't look like a Squire. I went by what the add said.

There's no trussrod access at the headstock like every other Squier I've ever seen.

JV Squiers don't have those, but that's not a JV or any other kind of Squier.

GC has been known to use the wrong pics on these adds.
They have also been known to have the wrong price tags on stuff in the store.

I've gotten some great deals due to error's on the part of the sales dudes. I would bring it up and they would inadvertently say no worries!

And of course, true Squiers usually don't have "Fender" in big gold letters on the upper line. (Unless someone's been cheating.)

I wouldn't be surprised if it was the right description, wrong photo. They had an ashdown 8x10 cab the other day, the pic was a MXR distortion + pedal........ but this is GC, so anything could be!

The GC used site is such a mess it's hard to tell what's going on.

My favorites are the G&L Tributes marked at $1000+.

I went into the old Boston GC, Looking up on the wall, and see a 1957-AV-Reissue P-Bass for $379.00. ( Brand new ) The list was $999.00 at the time.
Quickly I ask a sales person to bring it down. ( It was on the top rung.) After a look-see, I run to the register and buy it.
Person at the register then says this is a $999.00 bass not $379.00. I politely say, That it is GC policy that they must honor anything that is marked on the floor.
They try to talk me out of it, I ask for the store manager, who comes out looks at the tag. Tells them I'm right, I get bass for $379.00. And then fires the sales-person on the spot who mark the bass.
True story.

my local gc has been known to list stuff cheaper online, then you go into the store and its marked $20 more and they say "only the manager can change the price, we have to go by what the tag says". and the manager is never in the store. has happened once to me and once to a friend. my friend it was like $40 or $50 and they told him it mustve been listed wrong online. guitar center is the worst around here
