Anyone ever seen these before? I've never seen a Gibson like this. No, I'm NOT in the market, but is this legit?

In the 80s & early 90s, gibson frequently labelled weird one-offs or end of production run batches in goofy colors "custom shpo" models wit the the sticker on the back of the headstock. This was fallout from their "no seconds" policy. I've seen ten or more guitas and basses myself. Most were "meh."
I had the guitar equivalent of this (same color even) and it had the Custom Shop Logo on the back of the headstock as well.
Like you all, I saw nothing "custom" about it.

Agreed. Unfortunate explorer / shreddy headstock but very cool guitar.I love the guitar version
