Intermediate Level Solo Piece

Fellow TB'ers I need your help.

We have a multicultural program for my university Feb. 09'.
I am an intermediate bass player, playing in my church choir and the university jazz band. We have a program that touches on diversity and I would like to play a strong, deep, passionate, telling bass solo for this event.

Do you all have any recommendations? Songs, tab or music notation, transcriptions, suggestions, links.....

I really want to do this and i have a few months to perfect whatever I play so please help. Thanks a bunch!!!!!:bassist:

U Can't Hold No Groove - Victor Wooten, challenging but fun to play and to listen to.

Sex in the pan - Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Victor has a solo version of it this. I think it's in his transcription book.

And if you daring...

Fritter Boy - Adam Nitti

I would put up some Jeff Schmidt stuff but I don't even think it's possible to replicate his stuff, lol. That, and he is a tidbit beyond intermediate ;)

You guys are great. Those are very good suggestions. Some of that victor stuff is challenging for sure. Portrait of Tracy is one beautiful piece sure to catch the audience. Wonderful
