Like she'd be the only interesting member of her family? Shoot her & a few others some e-mails and see what happens.

A lot of history has gone down in our own home towns, eh?

Ya know... with so MANY interesting interview subjects to choose from...

How about aiming for one who has accomplished something which would earn the admiration of many at a personal level (overcoming a presumably insurmountable disability or starting & running a successful business in spite of a limited formal education or one who is quietly dedicated to helping others or someone whose actions saved lives etc)?

There's likely to be more folks about who fit that description than one might think. Those who make genuine headway in life are usually too busy doing so to blow their own horns.
