well, it's not quite a "meal", or even a recipe, but sometimes I like to dip pre-cooked bacon into raspberry yogurt. I dunno, it's just awesome, the smokeyness mixed with sweetness. Which reminds me, crepes with mozzarella cheese and raspberry jam on them. Absolutely delicious! I would serve it for lunch with a nice pilsner (being Ontarian, that's Steamwhistle for me) and some savory crepes beforehand (maybe roast beef and gravy).

What do you normally put on pancakes/crepes?

I really like big mouth bass ( but this could work with carp ( if you're unlucky ) trout or what ever) that I've just caught from a lake ( or river ). I like to cook it over a camp fire with rosemary , thyme salt pepper and lemon. That's it. Wrap in foil and let it go till it's falling apart. Camp food goodness right there.

Do you like sports? If so, what's your poison?

I missed the pebble again .. I will always be "grasshopper" * sigh *

[DEL]Cop out answer, but, it really does depend! I love used books, buy them by the dozen from amazon. Electronics? New, with a warranty thank you very much.[/DEL]

Did you think it would go there?

Let me just say I wasn't surprised ;)

What was the last used item you purchased?

Cover to cover? Callahan's Crosstime Saloon (reread) - a freakin' GREAT book by Spider Robinson.

Do you enjoy reading history or historical fiction?

Not as many as some.
Appendectomy, 2 shoulder surgeries, bad cuts to my hand (once as a chef, once doing garden work).

And I had the top of my ear cut off when I was hit by a car (I was on my bike). The docs were able to reattach it.
Used the stage name "Johnnie Van Go" for a while after that.

Does love conquer all?

I went on 4chan once. Never again.

Ever had something randomly explode near you, for no good reason?

Sort of... One day a dump trunk left the back of the truck lifted and knocked over a pedestrian cross bridge over the highway.

About a half mile before this was a bus that looked like the back had been blown up.

My friend and I had binoculars and were checking out the scene (where the bridge was knocked down) when a man in a suit approached us nd started asking questions... He asked us how we found out about the accident to have binoculars on hand... He then proceeded to ask us if we "had heard the explosion" This was very peculiar because a bridge collapsing does not explode... It crashes. The whole ordeal of the bus that was scorched was never mentioned on any news report.... Smells fishy to me!!!
