Been playing bass for about 3 years. I played drums first, then guitar, then electric guitar and found that there was no bottom with the guys I was playing with. I selected a short neck bass ala Paul McCartney to keep my guitar chops and have been enjoying driving songs with rhythm and bottom since. My drumming experience has really paid off.
I play in two groups, one for classic rock and roll and originals, and one for bluegrass/blues/jorma type stuff. I play guitar and bass in both groups.
