Double Bass introduction to jimmy

hello, Im jimmy, Im 15 years old and I play bass ,guitar and drums. From the age of ten I have worked with a general luthier doing about every guitar and bass repair in the book. Iam for lack of a better term on loan. The general luthier I am on loan from gets alot of upright basses, yet being not overly specialized he lacks knowlege on them. He is extremely busy in his shop and does not have time to go learn new crafts etc. so he sent me and took in a new apprentice. Iam currently learning about uprights and upright repairs. I build basses and plan to build guitars in the future, I have attempted to make an upright but the project has been set aside due to my workload lately. At the age of 14 I was loaned to a rickenbacker specialist( they are a nightmare if you dont know what your doing) and he showed me some key points of their design and how to properly set them up, so the vast majority of basses I work on are either boutique or rickenbacker or my own. Basses I build or customize have a lifetime warranty(yours or mine) because my work is top notch, and if it isnt I dont want you displaying my mistake around town. now some pictures proving my customization and ownership of some of my basses

Welcome, Jimmyduded! That's a good looking bass! I hope you'll add TalkBass, and especially TBDB, to your list of teachers. There is a lot of good information here. Maybe one day soon we'll have threads about the new "Jimmy" line of upright basses!

I used to be a Rickenbacker guy early on, they're great. Now, my only slab is a MIM J-bass.
