Does anyone know any new information about how this group has been doing lately? There was some call a year or so ago about donations of strings, rosin,mutes and (especially) sound post setters.
In case you don't know, this was a thriving orchestra in the seventies when at the time the then (relatively) benign Saddam got into power. I hear he was known to favor Grieg and Vivaldi.
