Could happen! I think it's cool too. It's just kind of at odds with making more pedals, because it's so much more time-consuming and I can't really outsource the paint part and have it look similar. So the more I pursue the art aspect, the fewer pedals will ever be in stock.

Looking at the numbers of people on the mailing lists for each pedal, right now I think making more pedals is probably the thing to focus on, but I want to do a bit of both. The Subterrographs were engraved, for example.

I am sure people would pay more for the extra work required.

I say go for it!

It's not often that a person gets to directly thank the artist responsible for their fine, fine work. So thank you - everything about your pedals from sonic, visual and engineering perspectives is sublime. Here's another shot of my looks-like-it-sounds Oxide (with an original knob). I always thought it was engraved, with an extra thick coat of red filling the letters, but now I know!

Not to speak for the man but this gets asked fairly frequently & he's talked about reworking the circuit & releasing some new batches in the recent past. I think it's just a matter of working it into the schedule. Would be awesome to see an Oxide mkii or as someone else suggested a "Dioxide" which I think would be a cool name for an updated Oxide.

You and I might disagree on the qualities of the Doom 2, but here we are very much so in alignment. I've asked Taylor exactly this, most recently with the Subterrograph. As much as I would happily pay for Taylor's time to paint some enclosures, I also support his prioritization of production so more musicians can experience his great pedals.

Happy pre-ordering, gang! I won't be joining in on this one, though I do hope to one day have an XD (need somewhere on my board for one, first!). In the meanwhile, I'm loving the eff out of the FMeron. Stuck around the house today with a back that's giving me plenty of grief, but that didn't stop me from shooting a stupid little YT video showing off the new toy

I think they've been staying open longer and longer, actually. It shows supply is starting to catch up to demand. (Exception for the Nimbus SE since that has only had one preorder.) At first they were only open a couple hours. But the more recent FrantaBit and FMeron preorders have been up for a few days.

Paying that much now and waiting 5 months. I’m tempted but I’ve seen too many horror stories in my years on TB with this stuff to bite unfortunately. Good luck to all those pulling the trigger. That pedal is a monster.

With Iron Ether? I'd love to hear more about that because Taylor's been doing the preorder thing for two or three years now and he's never failed to deliver. These are pedals, not Darrin Huff basses...

I just took the FMeron plunge and had no issues. In fact, it shipped literally 5 months to the day from me placing my order. It's true there are horror stories out there, but Taylor, and Iron Ether, do not appear to be one of them.
