Yeah it’s def weird. But I have found some really cool sounds in it. I’m not sure if it’s enough to keep though. That banana is one I def would love to grab but they, like IE, aren’t the easiest to snag. I’ve been in synth mode too lately. All I want is a simple, one pedal solution as far as that goes. Synths are a serious rabbit hole if you really wanna get it right. But I’m willing to settle on a great pedal. I should’ve never flipped my freqbox. But I did. And it’s gone. Hell, I may just flip the FMeron and get one of those again if I can. But I’m gonna give the FMeron the op collage try. But oh man, that banana.....

Haven't really looked at the freqbox until now...man, sounds amazing. Not sure I could justify the cost and the real estate though. But I'll definitely keep an eye out anyway...lol...

Don’t give up on the FMeron yet! I did and I’ve put some time into it and I dig it’s weird vibe. So many tones but none are warm; this sounds digital and it’s a great compliment to my subtractive synth as well as modular (oct-fuzz-filter-modulation) approach. I use an expression pedal (Reflex) to dial in more FM amount. The modulation secrion bing set unity/+1/+1-5th/2 plus the dissonant in-between sounds add to the FMs variability. The carrier frequency can truly change the sound as well. The true sweetness for me is the envelope section either in FM or AMP mode. The range of the envelope is amazing and you can do SUPER long sweeps. This pedal is finicky in regards to wanting its own power source as well as nothing before it on besides a comp. As with most “tracking type” pedals soloing your neck pup and rolling your tone off, flats if you got them helps and this pedal becomes a useful tool. For everyone? Not a fat chance! But for those weirdos out there bring it on!

Oh side-note I do agree that Moog is AMAZING at synthesis; a bass guitar emulating and even making its own version of synthesis is the definition of music. Our basses are just that BUT they are also expressive Audio outputs. Playing Jamerson is fun but go play through a POG2 and play some Doors organ or a Whammy or even possibly a ring mod with some blended fuzz run into delay. Why? Because it’s music.

Music rant out!

I really didn’t resonate with the banana synth pedal in the demos, but I did resonate with the mothership 2 When I borrowed one from a guitar player in one of my bands. I’ll probably buy one when I get back from Europe.

I may look into that mothership. The odds of me getting a banana or a freqbox are slim to none. I looked the freqbox up last night and wow, those prices really shot up there for it. But I’m getting some really cool sounds with the FMeron atm. I’m gonna keep working it.

Now I just need to figure out how to use it with an exp.

Well, I’ve been watching demos of other synths on YouTube. I’m warming up to the FMeron more and more. I think short of something like the old vintage EHX micro synth, the FMeron could be my synth. For a while anyway. I’m finding some really cool sounds in here.

So whats the deal with IE? I know the shop is moving, but the website says they will be back on 12/8/17/ We are past that now, so I am assuming he meant 01/08/17.

Are his items generally always in stock? Looking to get an IE Nimbus SE, I've got a line on the regular Nimbus (used), but if his shop is going to be open in January Im tempted to just wait as long as they will be in stock.

The stock levels come and go, so they might be in, or not.

IMO, the Nimbus SE is worth the wait, even if they aren't in stock when the shop reopens. The regular Nimbus is great too, and perfect for most users.

Hey guys, sorry for being hard to reach recently. The relocation from Louisiana to Oregon ended up taking much longer than expected and I'm only just now getting internet service set up here. Today I've replied to all emails/messages that I have, so if you tried to contact me in the last few weeks and haven't received a reply, please resend.

The pedals should start coming back into stock later this month and into February, depending on the pedal.

What's the best way to send you a repair request? Email or message here? My Oxide is acting up - I actually bought another for the interim because I just can't do without it and I know you're super busy...

Hi Taylor,
I recently had a pedal of yours damaged in transit, could you please send me a message to sort this out? TB isn't allowing me to send you a message myself.
On a more positive note, I'm looking forward to firing up the other two IE pedals I bought at the same time :woot:

Nice! But not an Oxide. ;) These QF2's are discontinued, so yeah, this will be hard to come by eventually.

The QF2 is Invalid Link Removed, but will be discontinued sometime this year. Glad to hear you're enjoying it @bebi!

Anything new and interesting happening for upcoming releases? Seems like you're pulling stuff out of production, are you replacing it or are you just lightening the load. ; )

While we're at it, This showed up yesterday:

And it will be in good company, because it'll tucked in my Divaricator loop somewhere after my Xerograph Deluxe:

Looking good! I'll be interested to hear how all of those pedals fit into your band's sound.

Nothing new on the immediate horizon - right now I'm just finishing up the last custom orders and then I will be working hard to get all the pedals back in stock. In general, when I discontinue something it's because of some practical issue, like a needed component going out of production. But on the upside, that's an opportunity to try a different approach to the concept, maybe change a few details based on feedback over the years, etc.

I’ve had my Xero Dlx a bit over a year and just recently picked up a Polytope. They are wonderful pedals, so fun and inspirational. I love that they have such solid drive to them, right there as strong as you want. And of course, they’re not hard on the eyes!
