Iron Ether Subterranea

Hey guys, totally understand the frustration with the wait. Basically in addition to the Sub issues we have been growing so fast we can't keep up. I have hired more help and we're cranking them out. Look for shipping notices very soon!

I really appreciate everyone's patience. But I also understand there's a limit to it and I am doing my best to not test that any further.

If the problem with the delay is because you're too good at making pedals, then that is a problem I can gladly wait for.

I guess it's a good thing that the wait happened because now I think I'm replacing my EP-2 with a Xerograph Deluxe. So. Excited.

I too have been wondering if I should do this. I just ordered my SubT minutes ago. I'm going to wait until I get it and see how it plays with my EP-2. What's been you're experience? The main reason you're contemplating making the switch?

I've yet to find a playing situation in which I can utilize the phaser section of the pedal. When I want to use the envelope there is a volume jump (another TBer reported it as a 3db increase) which I haven't been able to circumvent. The sound is pretty great but I hated the sudden barrage of sound from my amp. I found some solutions online, including sending the pedal to the manufacturer to have a volume knob installed, but given that I only utilized half of the features that seemed unreasonable. This way I can have two IE pedals in about the space of the single EP-2.

Sold it on Saturday.

Hey, I know this came up in the 750 posts here but I can't find it... has anyone tried running the SubT (or other IE pedals) with an 18v instead of 12v supply? How did it go?

Most of our pedals won't benefit from higher than 9v due to voltage regulation inside the pedal.

Oxide is fine to run at higher voltages. It sounds different, possibly cool depending on one's taste. If you have a voltage starve option on your supply, give it a go on the Oxide - lower voltages are fun.

I haven't tried a higher supply voltage on the Sub yet. Will report back my findings.
