Iron Ether Subterranea

I just saw this... I want too. Going to have to check my finances... and hopefully place an order.

wow... just wow.

I am wondering if this is based on the OC-2 with synth mods. The other day I read Taylors's analysis of an OC-2 workings (amazingly good explanation) and it makes me wonder if he got some inspiration about how to improve on something a lot of us already love.

I know! I'm actually being asked to use a lot of synth sounds right now, and just traded for the old school EHX micro synth. If this thing comes even close to those slow sweeps, I may need a change of shorts.

The Subterranea has a filter, but it's static and set by a pot. To get the filter sweeps you're going to need to pair it up with the Xerograph Deluxe or other filter pedal. The Sub is designed to be like the oscillator section of a synth, and to marry perfectly with the Xero, but any nice and wet filter will go great with it.

Looks great. I hope that guy who had a thread asking for an OC-2 type sounding pedal that doesn't actually lower the octave finds this thread as this pedal does *exactly* what he was looking for, plus two other sub-octave tones.

And no wonder Taylor was able to give such a detailed explanation of how the OC-2 works in that thread, complete with a graph and everything. You sly dog you!
