If I'm not mistaken, these machines are made in the Phillipines. There have been reports that these machines aren't machined as well as the Sloanes.I think that Jeff Bolbach used similar Phillipine machines but had a machinist clean up the gears.

The machines from Gallery Strings are made in the Philippines? Anybody knows more about that?

I know the owner, Pete Georgiadas. (sp?) Unless things have changed, all of his machines, endpins, and extensions are from the Phillipines. Same with Kolstein and Gagnon. Ask Jeff Bolbach about the machines. I know the maker in the Phillipines. He is now also making basses.
