Not for me. If you can't get the floor bumping and grinding to some funk and soul with a four banger then Im not sure stood there with the weight of a six is gonna make much difference.
Well, see what they tell you and ask them for a replacement. They're very accomodating, I doubt they'll have a problem with that if you insist that you want to keep this specific bass.
They've ordered a new part and I'm going to fit it… warranty still applies so hopefully all is good, looks like it's staying! Interested to find it has dual truss rods, not seen that before.

My current fave 6 weighs less than almost all of the P basses I've had and is much better balanced.
If you think you can't groove on a 6, that's a limitation in your mind, not my reality.
