Is a P with a J neck a PJ?

Actually, I have owned 2 of the MIM Precision Bass Specials. While they both had the 1-1/2" Jazz-width nut, the back contours on both weren't "slim taper" enough for me to feel like I was playing a modern-shaped Jazz neck. I also had a G&L ASAT Bass that had the same contour. I know folks who love this contour. To me they just don't feel familiar/comfortable to me. As always, YMMV/IMHO/IME, yadda-yadda-yadda.
Anyway, Back to the OP, "YES". Why not? Just don't change the decal, for goodness' sake.

It is a Fender Precision bass with an A neck.
"Indecision" ... I like that, one of my basses is a full blown Jazz, neck, pickguard style, control plate, and body ... Just one thing it only has a single P pickup. I've had even other bassist look straight at it and not notice anything unusual about it, I guess it just "looks" like a Fender.

I have a custom build with a P body and neck, and only Jazz pups. I consider it a P-Jazz, to differentiate it from a PJ.

If Fender can call the bass I bought that was equipped from their factory with a jazz style neck and an added J pickup a "Precision" then I don't see why you can't refer to any mix-match of distinctly Precision and J components however you want. A double set of split coil precision pickups makes a blacktop a Jazz, so shoot for the moon. Up is down, dry is wet, white is black, it's sheer pandemonium.

If we're talking strictly Fender basses, then the body shape is what determines whether it is a precision, jazz, jaguar, etc. If we're talking basses in general a "P-style bass" means a bass with precision pickups or body shape and the same with the "J-style." For example there are a few JPJ style basses (particularly the discontinued Fender Stu Hamm Urge II). The one exception to these rules is the 80's Jazz Bass Special from Japan that was in reality a Precision bass with PJ configuration.
"PJ" is a term that denotes a particular pickup configuration. It has nothing to do with any other aspect of a bass.
