Is a Rick worth the money?

I haven't read all of this thread. Just enough that it seems to have a scent like you'd find at the pier in a village where fishing was the main business.

If the OP wants to know about Rick's there are probably 1,000 threads here on TB that he could search for information and find the same old arguments and opinions going back and forth as they always do.

The review of the "Chatterbox" in NJ does not seem to be the words of your average 15 YO but that's just my opinion. If they really are then I withdraw the opinion.

As for is a Rick worth it? Well young man you'll have to clear your unusually busy schedule (for a 15 YO that is) and spend some time hanging out in guitar shops and trying out the guitars. If you want to spend $1500 - 2000 on a bass, why would you make that kind of decision based on what other people tell you?

The 4001CS is the 'Chris Squire' Limited edition. Based on the 4001S (or its UK counterpart, the RM1999), it sports vermilion headstock wings and the body is a solid color 'BananaGlo' finish. The first 4001S re-issue in the US market was the 4001v63. Neither have been made in quite some time, maybe ten years at least. The most recent 4001 re-issue is the 4001c64 (and the 4001c64"S"). The main cosmetic difference between those and the former 4001v63 re-issue is that both the c64 models have a reversed headstock. (There are other differences as well.) The 4001c64"S" has the cresting wave body horn peaks "sanded" down, is offered in only a matte finish to mimic when Paul McCartney sanded off the psychedelic paint job put on it in the Magical Mystery Tour days.

There have been a few other 4001S re-issues made only for the Japanese market, but those command exorbinant prices.

Go play a few Rickenbackers. If you love them, maybe they're worth the price, to you. If you don't, well, I guess not.

You're right. I'm not you average 15 y/o. Among may many talents is the fact that I've been able to read at college level since I was 4 y/o and my ability to draw and paint like several famous artists. My last work of art was Hentai. I worked on it for a month and then sold it for $20 to my friend. For some reason Hentai is wanted by a lot of people. I view it as nude art, like a drawn version of The Thinker or David. Don't start thinking that I only draw porn, if that's what you're thinking then you're wrong. I also do portraits and drawings of nature.

Its wanted by many people other than those who are dying to get their hands on porn. Hentai and Lolicon are fetishes some people on TB might even want some(hopefully not Lolicon because its basically drawn child porn and not even the most crazed artist would risk drawing it).
