Yes that image and public control is gone. Most of those other high end athletes didn't have golden boy from Stanford as a resume. But rather the kid who escaped the ghetto and already has three babies by three baby mama's before he was 17.

It's an interesting detail that Steve Williams is caddying for Adam Scott. Hahahahahha can you say ..awkward.
Tiger will be behind by more than that by the time the leaders finish. He is going to be average for awhile. He could have a good day and shoot something low... but it's going to take some time to do that 4 days running.
I say no shot at winning.... a 25% chance of finishing in the top 10..... and likely will finish in the 15th -25th range. The guy has to learn how to hit fairways. His driving accuracy is horrendous. Same with Mickelson. They couldn't hit the floor with their bladders full of beer.

No kidding Mike. I never really pulled for him or against him when he was blowing everyone's doors off but thoroughly miss watching him play superhuman golf. I REALLY hope we haven't seen the last of old Tiger.

Yes, I sure did skip NFL football today to watch the Chevron World Challenge. I like Zach Johnson as well, so it was a treat for me to see those two duke it out down to the last stroke. How much more pressure is there in a sport to be standing over a potential tournament winning putt with a few thousand people all around you dead quiet.....I was getting shivers just sitting on my couch.

I hope this continues. Come on Tiger....you can do it.

No worries.

I'm not ready to say he's back, but he looked close yesterday. As the announcers were saying, the other golfers aren't afraid of him like they used to be. Zach went toe to toe and didn't look intimidated at all. But still I wonder how he felt staring down that putt with Tiger across the green staring back at him......intense.

I've always liked Tiger, and consider myself a big fan. After the tournament, I got out my clubs and practiced that putt a few times myself. Sadly, I could not convert it.
