I have been lucky to own and still own a couple of nice basses from well known brands over the past 30 years. But the 2 basses I favor now are my 2014 Fender Am.Std Precision, 1 pickup,1 volume,1 tone strung with flats job done. And my 2nd bass for a Jazz style is my beaten & worn 1992, Peavey Foundation bass with the renowned Super Ferrite pickups & strung with rounds (which is getting more playing time than the Precision). Both passive basses & both played through my Fender Rumble 200 combo with the Eq at noon, vintage switch on = 1 happy bass player .
