It was a fun trip, but here I am again, back at the beginning.

I have owned and played some of the nicest basses IMHO.... Alembic, Pushic Custom Bass, Spector, Rickenbacker, Fender Custom Shop and the list goes on and on for the past 44 years...and have loved them all.
But, I find myself gravitating to the simplicity of my Carvin TBS4 and Squier CV 50's Pbass. Is it just me, or have others found the "plug and play" with passive basses more attractive? I set the EQ on my amp and am happy!!
They’re all plug and play for me. I run all active basses flat, all passive basses wide open. If they don’t sound good like that I don’t buy them.I have owned and played some of the nicest basses IMHO.... I have four basses and wish i could narrow it down to one but i can’t. I love all of them. I grab whatever one I feel like playing. Usually the precision with my metal band and I was favoring the jazz with my jam band but I brought my Rick yesterday and it was awesome. I honesty do not have GAS for more basses.
...View attachment 2838462 I just arrived back at a four string, passive, P. It’s even black.

I absolutely love the simplicity of the P-bass and other passive designs. One volume, one tone.
