Is it possible to emulate ZVEX WollyM with Line6 M9?

My point was that you could find something similar in there without a doubt. But are you looking for someone to do it for you by telling you their parameters/settings? :hmm:

DIY is the obvious answer.
If its that important of a sound for you...
Buy/borrow a clone, figure it out, then flip/return the clone.

I'm going to agree that you won't be able to find anything in the m9 that will be similar to the mammoth, assuming you want to use it as a gated, cut off sounding synth fuzz. You might be able to find something close to it when it's being used as a normal fuzz, but even that I'm not too sure you'd be able to nail accurately.

Hey i'm more than happy to give it a go and put some clips up, i've spent some time with a WM, a clone and a couple of mastotrons, so im sure i know what sound id need to replicate......however I should mention that the m9/m13 drive settings are the least useable sounds for me - even when you crank the EQs you'll never get that kick in the gut bass fuzz, the one that comes out the best to my ears is the Fuzz Face, but that'll still get swallowed in the mix.

bit a of a dissappointment for me, especially as I thought my jetphaser dreams were going to come true - but the M9 is astounding, it covers most of my needs except for drive/fuzz, which is fine because thats what im most picky about anyway.

Ill try and get a clip done now

**edit: looks like my music software is playing up - sorry, cant do clips (or any songs for that matter) until i get it sorted

@Faceinbass. I do not own a M9. I tried one in a shop and thought that with the synth onboard and distortion it would have been possible to come close to a WM. So before buying it I wanted to know if someone who owns it came close.

There's nothing exactly like the boutique gated fuzzes in the M9/M13. But there's some decent sounding bass fuzz sounds out of it IMO but you have to layer effects. You can get some fairly tight and gate-ish fuzz sounds by using a noise gate block as well as the per-scene noise gate with minimal decays and higher thresholds.
