Apparently those bags are resealable which explains a lot. I actually like the idea now, now that I find it saves on plastic and oil.

I think that's only Ontario that does that, Never ever have I seen a bag of milk in Alberta.

I lived in Alberta for a long, long time and my friend's mom always had milk in a bag.

They were the standard way of "packaging" milk for a long time over here...until recently. Since we get the standard plastic/wax cartons like everyone else.

The bag milk thing is perplexing to me too.

If the bags aren't resealable-e.g. the picture of the bag in the pitcher...why not just buy milk in the plastic jug?

I think it's just out of habit that you grab the milk. It comes three bags of milk in a larger bag with cutouts for carrying.

I grew up in Nova Scotia but I haven't seen milk in bags in about 6 o 7 years. I use to get bags of milk when I live in Banff but haven't seen em since.

Worst part of bagged milk in the jug is, the last person using it NOT changing the bag and leaving just a wee drop in the bottom. You go to lift it, thinking it has it's normal weight and end up smashing the jug into the ceiling of the fridge. LOL.

This is usually followed by tirade of "WHO DIDN'T CHANGE THE FREAKIN' MILK!!!"
