Is Kalium having issues or is this normal?

Put my money where my mouth is. Just placed an order with Kalium. Don't know if it will be here next week, but it will be here before I need them. I just bet $42.70 on it lol......

And received my order today. Kalium is obviously not Amazon Prime, but they do deliver every order I have placed with them for going on six years.
Every. Single. Time.

I just ordered an experimental set from them with a low F# (.174) BEAD. I ordered Saturday, and didn't get an email indicating they were shipped. I called Weds, the guy said they were shipping out Weds, and on Thurs I got the confirmation. On Saturday I got the strings, so 1 week turnaround for stated 2 day shipping. Really not that bad. The strings are awesome, I got the new Steels. Smooth and super responsive and punchy, even on the huge .174. I also checked the sizes with my nice carbide faced Mitutoyo calipers (i work in quality for a machine shop so I was curious) and they were +/- .001 up and down each string, save for the tapered ends. They also answered the phone when I called and were helpful and efficient. I have ordered 6 sets of Kalium (Circle K) strings over the years and never had a problem.

I got mine. i sent an email inquiring, because they charged me and had not sent them in the next few days. i thought the charge for 2 day shipping meant that i would get them in 2 days...
The day after i sent the email i got the shipping notice.
My E string was super long, and when i trimmed it, the string was too thick to fit in the tuner hole. i ordered another one and just sent an email right after. Got the shipping notice 2 days later.
Im not sure if the strings are a good fit for my bass, but next time ill get a higher tension. they feel great though

So did everybody that had trouble eventually get their strings and/or refunds?
I had to file a paypal dispute to get my refund. After everything not a single damn response from Kalium and co.

Everyone rallying around Kalium beating their chests for small business has it a bit backwards.
I love small business and would rather support a small mom and pop shop if I have the money to do so. Take a little longer, whatever, that's fine, but if you cant communicate what's happening and when you are shooting yourself in the bloody foot.

Imagine a pizza place and competing with Dominoes. Dominoes does a 30 minute guarantee. MomnPopPizza isn't doing that, that's fine, I like their pizza more, and even though it costs more, I'll still get it. Now, if I order from MomnPopPizza, they take my money, pizza doesn't show up after an hour and a half, and I can't get the store on the phone, I'm starting to get mad. Can't refund because I can't get an answer. Now I'm out money and I'm hungry.

I guess that's ok though because they're now offering car wash service and dog grooming instead of focusing on the one thing they can't even do right.

I've never had a problem with Kalium and I've been ordering from them for the last few years. I got frustrated because their PayPal payment link was screwed up and it turned out to be a browser issue.
I think they make great strings and the new stainless sets last a long time. I use balanced tension sets and they suit me perfectly.

Meanwhile, the site is still down.

Big shock. Site down, sporadic communication sometimes on email, sometimes on facebook, hit and miss deliveries with some getting strings quick some not getting them at all. Again, no way to run a business. I am not knocking the product at all, my son and I really enjoyed the strings but these people need to take a business class (or just use some common sense).

Just found this thread looking to see if there's a problem with Kalium. Ordered 3 days ago, no email acknowledgment, no replies to my email queries. They did take my money though. I've had zero problems with the company before, and the one time a string broke on me too soon they sent a replacement. But this is downright weird.
