Is Kalium having issues or is this normal?

They've just sent out an email newsletter with news of their move to CA, new email contact addresses etc. I can copy paste some of it here if anyone needs it.

I received the same email message. They're moving to Mission Viejo, CA from Seattle, WA. All business temporarily shut down while they're in transition, from now until New Year's Day. (They're offering a 20% discount on all merchandise purchased during that period, as a gesture of good faith to their customers, to compensate a little for the delay in shipping 'til they get resettled.)

Looks like their website is completely down now.

Since I posted, I should follow up and say I got a response yesterday. As someone said above, I wasn't expecting Amazon Prime, just an order confirmation (and in my case, modification) since they accepted my money. I will sub to the newsletter, though I'm surprised info isn't on their site or social media, since I went looking for info before posting here. By contrast, Staytrem is down over the holidays and has a note on their site to that effect, and so it's not confusing.

I just ordered some strings from them. The 20% wasn't indicated in the checkout process so hopefully I'll receive a little surprise. I wonder if they'll delve into the flat wound market.

I placed an order on the 22nd (the day before the 20% discount started :banghead:) & received a tracking number on the 25th. My account on Kaliums website says "Completed"

I like the strings but the $33.95 shipping is a real rip off in my opinion. I've had pedals shipped that weigh a lot more and only cost half the amount. But when you need a Low F string you don't really have any other options.

Edit - my strings left the US on the 27th December and arrived in Australia on the 3rd January. Pretty happy with that. Now I just have to wait for Australia Post to pull their finger out and deliver them.

That's because you didn't put in the coupon code.

FYI, the code is WEAREMOVING2017. And for the record, BSO carries flatwound strings from many manufacturers, i.e. La Bella, D'Addario, Fender, GHS, EBMM, DR, Thomastik Infeld, Sadowsky, etc. etc. They "delved" into the flatwound market a long time ago, probably starting at the inception of the company. :eyebrow:

I made an order after the announcement of their move, I noticed they mentioned a discount on the side as I was about to check out. So I went back to the cart and then I was able to apply the discount, then I checked out. That was late December. So still awaiting the shipping email! Still waiting to tune my 4-string PJ in fifths!

I got the pre-shipment label January 4th, too. It's still in pre-shipping. This is the second - maybe third - time in a row that it's taken at least a week despite my being a state away. If I didn't need a .160 low string for a 37" scale bass I'd be way over these guys.
