Is my GAS finally over?

First off, congrats on finding your wish bass. As for gas, I don’t have it. I have the tools I need.
Same here. Plenty of gear I want (but don't need). But when I think about the monthly expenses, credit card statement, etc. then the GAS is gone pretty quick!
Congrats to the OP on that really nice Warwick though! She's a beaut.
It is just a sad truth. I guess you could sell the pedal board for a smaller one to keep you honest. Another subway cab would go nicely with that setup, you know, for outdoor gigs.
Oh my friend, just accept that the GAS will never end.....I have found that the best thing to do is just accept it with open arms ....must have more

I thought LX’s had one-piece bridges...
If so, why does the SS2 have the body shape of an SS1? I have always seen SS2’s with the body shape of the one on the left.
Or is that how it was in the 90’s

Gorgeous basses and rig! GAS has been a pretty full on hobby of mine for the last few years and so this year I had to promise myself not to buy anything...No music gear unless it was maintenance (strings, cables if needed etc). 2019 i had to go guitar free and did it so this year I am going gear free. That being said i do have a crazy crazy expensive Wal on order due in a few years...so there is that I am saving for but that isn't technically the same thing...Just last night i bought a cable and a stand so i made it three months but that stuff is part of maintenance right?

It ain’t goin away permanently. We live in a time where companies are constantly innovating, whether that be basses, amps, pedals, interfaces, random hardware, plugins, hell, even straps...and I’m a sucker for all of it. That’s not even including the GAS production formed from lurking through these forums!
I think the important thing is to not sell off equipment on a whim, and at least sleep on it. Tastes change, and we learn over time what suits our playing style best (even if that means picking up the same gear more than once). In the end it’s just equipment, and it doesn’t do much if the musician is unable to play it.

Hope it is so. In my experience GAS is a mutant beast. Sometimes it can be sleepy for months or even years, but suddenly...poof...a new object of desire...it's human nature...so
I think it’s over for me. I recently bought a 1955 Fender Precision (blonde, original finish). This is a bass I’ve been hunting for a couple years. I am now down-sizing my collection. Does anyone want to by a huge tube amp or two? With matching cabinets?
The only thing I’m gassing for right now is LIVE SHOWS.
