Is there any interest in....

No,

We get pretty annoyed by in progress pictures and luthiers explaining every step of the building process.

:hiding:

:D

(that was a joke. ;))

Always interested in seeing this... and this is the Rocket sponsored subforum... so by all means show how you and your team build a bass for my favourite Virginian store.

BTW, I don't find information online on what you guys can offer to bass players.

What about that other thread here, that you posted in, you know, with the pics, prices, soundclips.....:p

Sorry, didn't got much information from that thread.

Other than a passive bass: Classic, and a modern active bass.
Either 4-string 34" or 5-string 35".

Come on Bill... you and I are known for bothering builders with strange questions and requests. (pickups, woods, electronics, colors,...)

If Ryan can deal with us... that's his trial by fire. :D

I'm still amazed by that guitar with midi posted in that thread.
That in a fretless bass would be nice.

I'm half awake right now, but tomorrow I'll get right on that....

*ponders whammy bars*

Total agreement.

We just starting building Basses again.......we have a new website being built, that will have lots of info on them.

I'm looking forward to it.

What kind of bass is in the works for Rocket?

I just checked the prices of that one bass and several guitars on the Rocket website.
Seems very reasonable... it's about the price of American Fenders around here. :)

I assume a passive Classic will be cheaper than the active custom.

Are you planning to just use J-style pickups in the basses you are going to offer? Or will P-style and humbuckers (Musicman style) also be possible.

Would fretlesses be a problem?
Wood choices for the body?

Sorry if this is a lot to ask. :)
And sorry if you intended this thread for "in progress" pictures.

What I really love is the headstock design on the bass Greg has in stock.
It looks very classy.

Now you went and stepped in it, Ryan! :)

But, yeah, for sure, progress pics are always a great thang!!

And I spoke with Frank @ Joe Barden again today - he's pretty pumped that you and I are working together to get some Bardens out there in higher end basses. They're used to playing in the Fender aftermarket sort of space, but their pickups absolutely KILL and would be in EVERY bass if I had my way :)

Data - I'm sorry to report that Stefan has beaten you to serial number 1...

:hiding:

OK, Stefan's won't be number 1, but that was a not-so-subtle hint about what Stefan has been hinting about recently. You better poach... er, get... yours before the serial numbers get too high! I know how you hate a high serial number :D

My low serial number can still be beaten.

Like a hammer.:D

I'm looking at this ^ guy. :eyebrow:

:)

Too subtle? Let's try this. :smug:
