This is my (soon to be for sale) LOG bass. Trans butterscotch w/Black. I was woriied that with a white guard it would look like an inverted fried egg.

The white looks good enough but because of the black blocks I think the tort looks a bit off If it was just a plain maple board I might favor the tort. But, black would probably be best IMO.

I'd either go with black or white. Tort doesn't look so good. I voted white because you want another option rather than black.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions and advice. Big thanks to Grateful for the pic of that gorgeous Lakland. That actually is the pic that made the decision for me.

I really wanted this to look like a 70's parts bass with the obvious jazz neck and the P body. That Lakland looks like it is meant to be together and is a beautiful instrument, and I guess I decided, I wanted mine a little more ratty looking, so I am going with the tort.

I thought black was the ONLY way to go, but the other parts on it including some jazz knobs to help with the parts bass look, I think Tort wins it for me
