IS THERE REALLY A "BUMP" BUTTON IN CLASSIFIEDS? WHAT'S THE PROCEDURE?

Seriously, I've not seen a useable answer to this question everybody keeps asking & the directions on this site actually don't explain how at all...just when not to do it.

It's right at the top of each For Sale forum: New posts to classifieds threads will only bump the thread once every 24 hours. Posts made before 24 hours since the last bump, will not bump the thread.

yes, there initially was a bump button but we got rid of it when it became clear it was interfering with the conversation in the classifieds. So, now the software will only bump the ad once per 24 hours regardless of how many times you reply

I like the new system and how it keeps threads from being bumped all day from conservations which kept them on top of the list all day, but....what about price drops? What if, lets say, 12 hours after the last bump, I want to drop the price? That doesn't bump it up anymore. That used to be a valid reason for a self bump. It seemed fair. It's not just a "come on guys, buy my bass" kind of bump. It's a major change to the sale. I'm curious why that isn't allowed anymore.

David, Thank you, but if you wouldn't mind, EXACTLY HOW do I bump my ad back to the top each day? I see no button...no tool...no procedure. In other words, where is the link, and what do I do? Perhaps my browser isn'r displaying what it should?

you just reply to your ad and say 'bump' or whatever. This will bump your ad up no more than once per 24 hours. So, first post 24 hours after placing will bump it up. A post an hour later will show on the ad but not bump the ad placement. A subsequent post 23 hours later will then succeed in bumping the ad placement.
