A common misconception. The fire was in February 1994, and the MIA Squiers started in 1989 and only ran for a couple of years, but the fire legend lives on nonetheless

Curious about these Southern Cross basses made in Brazil. I saw this bass for sale and wonder if this is a stock arrangement or is this an aftermarket body with a Southern Cross neck. I've never seen a Fender Jazz with a laminated body.
