If you can grab it for short money ($100) then go for it. Always nice to have extras hanging around. I have a bunch of lawsuit guitars and I have no issues playing them. The ones I gave out have had MIC engraved on the back of the headatock. I have only given away two out of the seven that were bought over the years.

It wasn't made by the largest mass market music company on the planet. That means it's a smaller builder, therefore boutique. I still wouldn't offer more than twice what the Fender version goes for.

By 'largest mass market music company on the planet', do you mean Yamaha Music with 2025 sales of around $2.9 billion or maybe Fender who did around $700 million or possibly Cor-Tek who are definitely in the top 3 while making guitars for Cort, Ibanez, Squier, G&L, and others? I have no dog in this question, since I own at least 7 Fender basses, one Cort bass, and one Fender guitar. The statement just caught my eye and made me curious.

OK,”the biggest mass market music company in America”

Sorry, still not true. Yamaha sells a lot more musical instruments in the USA than Fender. Never thought about this before, but it was obvious once I considered it and then looked it up. Still not important, but a little interesting. Makes me wonder if the fans of the second largest piano and clarinet manufacturers get cranky about it.
