Is this considered overkill?

man, that rig rules. i bet that thing sounds incredible. are those the 400 watt heads? a friend of mine uses one old Sunn 400T(i think that's what it's called) 400 watt tube head and one of the 2x15 cabs with JBL's, and it sounds friggin' MEAN! i bet it sounds especially great with that all maple neck precision. my buddy uses an 80's G&L SB-2 with a maple neck, and there is a HUGE grind! very, very nice. don't let anyone tell otherwise, that tone has just got to KILL!

Sunn never made a 400 watt tube head; you're thinking of the Sunn 300T.

Oh, and there's no way in hell you could squeeze 400 watts out of a pair of KT-88s. :p They're each "rated" at 60 watts, but put out more than that.
