It's easier to get feedback with them stacked like that.

Ok, I haven't messed with bass feedback in a looooooong time. Very nice rig Ox!The 0x said:It's easier to get feedback with them stacked like that.

Dr. PhunkyPants said:Thing is, I think you can probably get very close to the same level of warmth and volume for the same price at 1/4 the weight.
So not overkill, but not how I'd spend my $$$.
Really? That´s interesting, I wonder what´s the scientific explanation for that. The 0x said:It's easier to get feedback with them stacked like that.

Extremely nice rig, BTW. Me, I´m too lazy for such things (heck, I bet one of those Sunn heads weighs more than my whole rig!), but I have nothing but respect for those who refuse to compromise their sound for comfort.
The sound i'm going for is somewhere in between a foghorn and a building collapsing.CoolHat said:I think they´d look cooler side by side.
Speaking of Cream.. weren't that band the 'ultimate' and extreme when it came to insane stage levels? Wasn't their entire backline cranked all the time? From what I can remember from old, old interviews, Eric and Jack were both forced to have a cab from the other sitting right behind them so as to be heard by the other..bongomania said:Not overkill in the least- just think of all the time you'll save not having to dust! Also you won't need to buy any hair-straightener cream, and you won't have to pay for Lasik surgery!

Yes, of course you are right.. I have corrected my post to reflect the actual names(Eric - Jack).. thank you.The 0x said:Don't you mean Eric & Jack? Also, you're probably thinking of The Who, who had foldback from the other on each side of the stage.
The 0x said:Not exactly scientific, but it makes the strings closer to the overdriven midrange & high end, which makes them sustain longer.
Also, with the lows at my feet, I can hear the tone from the top cab, but feel it with the bottom cab.The sound i'm going for is somewhere in between a foghorn and a building collapsing.
