i got a $30 dollar gift card for amazon.com and i thought meh, im a beginner in bass playing.. i shouldnt spend too much. so i was looking and i saw the Kramer Focus 420S Bass Guitar Black Metallic for $100. Now, i have no idea what any of that means. is kramer any good? There were also a bunch of rogue guitars but i read some really bad reviews on those.

Do a Google search on "kramer 420s" and read the reviews. I read a couple, and nobody said it sucked.

A reccomendation you will always see is to get an SX bass. You can find them at www.rondomusic.net. Do a search on here, and you will find all sorts of good reviews. Nearly everyone has said they they are good, especially for what you pay for them. And leter on, if you want it to sound different, pickups can easily be changed.
