Is this tone achieved with pedal or amp?

I love this tone and I've been wondering if I can achieve it through a pedal? Or does it come from amp? For some reason that tone reminds me of a (hungry) wolf. I don't know why but somehow it does.

Actually I do have B7K but I can't get the tone similar to this... yet. (I'm open to settings though if you know how to get pretty similiar tone.)

I'd say any decent overdrive would do. Sounded distorted but not overly so...then again it was a little hard to hear with my nightly ear fatigue. You could also get it with an amp that has distortion capabilities.

I love this kind of tone. The main ingredients are a very gritty tone in the lows and a lowpass at about 1000 Hz.
The Sansamp BDDI on extreme settings is very good at this, or a Darkglass as already suggested.
