It looks to me like the strings that are on it are flatwounds. Did you sell it with flatwounds? If not, he changed the strings - flatwounds have more tension than roundwounds and would require a truss rod adjustment.

One of the upsides of an in person transaction is the buyer can try it out and see any problems on the spot. Once the buyer pays and it leaves your house, it's his. He screwed up the truss rod or the neck itself somehow, but it's not your problem. I would not entertain any further communication with him.
