Isolated Jazz Walking Bass Lines? Where are they?

I was wondering if anyone knew of any sources of isolated walking baselines. I love to hear the bass all by itself walking on some nice harmonically rich jazz progressions. I searched on youtube but not much if anything came up. IMO this is one place where the bass can really shine. Imagine a nice cozy night with some company over drinking wine and you are playing isolated jazz walking lines. IMO this would sound great all by itself whether on acoustic bass or electric but with flat wounds.

Most of the isolated tracks on you tube come from Guitar Hero an Rock Band video games. Wouldn't it be fun if they made a game like that for jazz music.

Yes -- Jamey Aebersold Jazz would be where I'd be looking.

Look for books that have standard notation bass clef and an audio CD. Be aware some have only lead sheet - treble clef and chord names, but, no bass clef. If you go to the bass section I think you'll find what you need. My point; you want bass clef sheet music to see what bass lines could be used for this specific song.

Transcribed bass lines from the Play-a-long CDs. You wont gat isolated bass though. The best you'll get is bass + drums. If you're looking for bass alone, look into Band in a Box. The new "real" instrument sounds are very good, particularly the DB tone. No, it wont be Ron Carter!

There are some relatively recently Live T Monk releases that have the bass player taking the while song 1st playing what he plays more or less as support and then taking the whole as a solo. Monk live at the It Club, Monk Live at the Jazz Workshop
I can definitely say this is the case with Live at the It Club This may also be true for Live at the Jazz Workshop since it's the same crew.

I try and listen in the car, but road noise tends to mask the solo bass sections.
