ISP Technologies Beta Bass Preamplifier????

OK, they emailed me back today. No idea why it took them 3 weeks. Here's the info:
The corner frequencies on the bass and are as follows. Both bass and treble are shelving eq. The corner frequency for the treble is7k Hz at 6 db per octave slope. The bass is at 70 Hz at 6db per octave slope. The bass control is boost only so when the control is full counterclockwise the bass eq is a flat response. The treble on the other hand is a cut and boost at +/- 12 db.

Unfortunately that wasn't the answer I was hoping for, but it should be helpful to anyone wanting to know what sort of EQ it has. :)

Here is a bit more info I got from ISP:

The input gain is 12 dB max, and the total gain from input to output (with the EQ set flat) is about 30 dB. You can get higher output by boosting with the EQ. It was designed to drive ISP's powered cabs, which have an input sensitivity of 1V. What all this means is if you have a bass with low output, and/or a power amp with a higher than 1V input sensitivity rating, you won't get as strong of a signal as you might want, with the EQ flat. But if your basses have strong output, or if your power amp has a low input sensitivity rating, then there's no problem.

P.S. regarding my comment in the previous post about the EQ, the only reason I was disappointed in their answer was because I wanted to be able to cut subharmonic lows. The EQ is great in every other way.

I'm a late arrival here (really late) regarding the ISP Beta Bass Preamp. But I'm interested in this preamp because it's both Solid State and rackmount. Is it an unpopular pre ?

Well anyway, will it work well with a Carvin power amp (I'm learning about a power amp input sensitivity) into a fEARful 1515/66 ?

As I have said before, I think that this is an under-appreciated preamp. It's quite nice, IME/IMHO, and should work great with a Carvin amp and fEARful cab(s).

Just stumbled across this thread while doing some research on the Beta Bass Pre. I have one I picked up used last fall. I love it. I primarily play upright in an uber-loud band, so I'm all about clean power. I'm using the ISP in front of a Behringer (i know, i know) Europower Power amp pushing 2400 watts into my fEARful 1515/66/1. it's unreal I can push my rig to the point where my vision blurs, and mortar starts falling from the walls in the bar where my house gig is. The Pre is clean, and punchy, and the EQ is FAR more functinal then the EQ in my Demeter TBP-1. THe Gate is really great in rooms with dirty power, and I found both the exciter and the compressor to be pleasant as well.

Anyone know if this preamp needs a cab SIM pedal or lpf pedal on the distortion channel when running di out to a powered pa speaker or mixer or will the decimator noise reduction control the harshness of the distortion.
