Issue with Fender Rumble 25

Hey team,

Bought this second hand Fender Rumble 25 just to have around the house whenever I want to practice a bit and been playing it for a week or two now without any issues.

Went on a holiday for 5 days, came back turned the amp on and I hear this noise that almost sounds like a detuned radio.

I've moved the amp everywhere in the house just in case it was a plug or picking up some interference but nope.

Have tried to upload a quick video but it doesn't seem to allow MP4 files...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Yeah I wish I could record it. That's what I get for buying stuff from Facebook Marketplace. It makes the same noise with or without the bass plugged in.

I have a guy who repairs amps but just never in my entire 30 years of playing had to deal with a bad amp. Guess I was a victim of buy cheap buy twice.

Yup. Noise is coming with bass plugged or not plugged. I was hoping I didn't need to splash any cash into this as I bought it second hand and if I need to take it to a guy it's probably going to add up to almost the price of a new one....:/ Oh well.

On a separate note, anyone familiar with the Hughes and kettner Basskick505 Dynaclip? Had the option to go for it for around £60 but went for the rumble instead...

Could be. If it’s working now, leave it alone!

This model is not supported under any factory service programs, they are a replacement item under warranty. Any qualified service shop should be able to repair one, but it will likely cost more than it’s worth.
