So, the drummer is the one who arrenges the gigs and so on (we are a cover/original band). Also atleast for now our reherseals have been at his'.
I like the music we play, but hate the way we "work". I've been thinking about the situation...
The main problems are that:
1. Drummer has massive ego,
even he is a drummer. He can sing, but he is much better drummer. I've been trying to get him thinking if we should get a separate singer. Well i think he dosen't want to because he loves himself and likes to be "in front" (would put his set in the front of the stage if he could).
2. Drummer cancels reherseals for what ever reasons.
He does this on the same day or the day before they should be.
A couple of weeks ago our guitarist started doing this also. He texts or calls and just says that he has something important to do, so no reherseal today... No reherseals for atleast 2 weeks now because of that, so haven't talked to him about that.
(Once the drummer texted that he was tired because of work and had to sleep, so no reherseal today. Our gig was at the very next day and last time we had a rehersal was more than two months ago, because of him. Started calling him Sleeping Beauty after that.

3. There are not too many reherseals,
which already appeared. Also when we happen to have reherseals the drummer usually:
a. Haven't set up his drums after the last gig (he gigs with a (not-so-heavy) dance music band also). He starts to put them up when I arrive, if even then (or makes our guitarist to do it for him, partially atleast).
b. Does almost everything else except play drums. Like plays guitar or bass, messes up with our guitarist's effects or with computer...
We have these atleast 2-3 week break after a gig usually, even more than that if there is no gig soon.
4. Hardly any information will reach me.
I read from our facebook page that we have a gig on date x, we still haven't even talked about this gig...
Also some reherseals are sometimes cancelled even though I didn't know anything about them.
(I thought about scamming them first a little IF they happen to tell me about the gig... Like saying that I have to be in the mandatory Posse comitatus (the military thingy))
5. Drummer sometimes makes fun of me, cuz I'm the bassist.
He just does that, like says that "Well, hes (just) the bassist", "bassist is the arse of the band" and things like that...This dosen't happen too often anymore though, but oddly he likes to play bass himself, perhaps he's just a little jealous at me...
One good thing. At gigs everything goes pretty well.
I've been thinking what to do... Should I quit or (try to) join another band (because I want to play more with people and also gig more) or only talk to them about this, which I'm doing anyways. Also been thinking how I/the band could improve things...
