San Diego (when not at Groom Lake)
Tonight my wife and I went to a concert to see Dave Koz and David Sanborn. It was at a local outdoor venue with "very cozy" seating on cheap plastic chairs. As is always the case, the tallest guy in the crowd comes in and sits down right in front of my wife (we swapped places). Turns out it was Bill Medley. I talked to him for a second, saying, "Mr. Medley, I've been a fan of yours for over 50 years." He said, laughing, "I wish you hadn't said 50 years." I said, "OK, at least 20 years."

As is often the case with celebrities I've met, he was very gracious and friendly. Gracious enough to take a snapshot with me. He's bending his knees a lot.

BTW, it was a fantastic concert.

Very cool!

But was he gracious enough to trade you seats so that he will not obstruct your view?
Or are you stuck with the memory of you having to stare at the back of Bill Medley's head all night? :smug:
Interesting you should ask. Through the entire concert, he slid down in his seat and leaned to the side to improve our view.

Cool story. I was sitting in a restaurant in Manhattan one night and a guy came in with a jaw dropping gal on his arm and sat at the table next to us. It was Tony Bennett. Then, to my surprise, turns out the guy I'm having dinner with knows him well and gets up and goes all, "Tony, Hey Tony!" Big hugs follow. Little did I know my dinner guest was his former tour manager. Unfortunately my Motorola brick phone didn't have a camera!
