Itching for a Jazz bass....which one?

I also had a 2010 MIA P bass and a MIJ Geddy ( forget the year ) and those were both very good basses for the money. The Geddy I didn’t keep as the 70’s tone is not for me. The fit and finish on those MIJ Teddy’s are outstanding and the binding is real, as I have heard some say it’s painted on.

If you don't mind the look and can get your hands on one, test drive one of the roadworn Jazz basses. Once I got mine, I sold off an American Standard Jazz and a Custom Shop Jazz because I didn't have any interest in even opening their cases. The tone and feel wasn't even all that close.

I played one of the MIM Road Worn a few years back and still regret not grabbing it. I already had an '08 American Standard, which I still have, and couldn't justify another bass at the time. That bass had the most comfortable neck, was light weight, and sounded great. Well worth it if you can find one.
